elated?

I had my 32 week appointment this morning with my secondary midwife. She confirmed that my GD test came back very normal (almost sounded surprised at how normal). I’m measuring at 31.5 weeks, and the heart rate was in the 130s. I’m up ~16 lbs from pre preg weight, but down 2 from last appointment (I remember being shocked at the time when I’d gained 8 lbs in 3 weeks, so I was likely retaining water or something), and my protein and glucose were both negative. Blood pressure was 100/70.

Baby had hiccups at the time she was using the doppler, it was pretty funny. She confirmed that baby is head down, with its back to my left and feet to my right, which is what I had suspected (I keep feeling a little bum sticking out in the middle just under my ribs, and kicks on the right side).

She also gave my my home birth folder with lists and info. It’s starting to get real!

All in all a good appointment. I did have to wait 30 minutes, but 30 minutes isn’t worth complaining about.

I also saw this other couple there that are friends of a friend, who we had dinner with once. She’s due a week or so before me, so that was neat. I knew they were at the same practice, but what are the odds of having appointments at the same time on the same day?
